How Does This Knuckle 40014-0K00 Work?
The 40014-0K000 steering knuckle helps to turn the wheels of the forklift and move it in the desired direction of the driver. This part has a top and bottom pivot that connects to the suspension system. This pivot keeps the knuckle in a lateral position and connects to the forklift's pair of tie rods. Tie rods are present on both sides of the forklifts and initiate the direction of the steering wheel.
When the driver moves the steering wheel inwards the tie rods push this knuckle pivots on one side and outwards on the other side. So, during this operation, the wheels and knuckles of the forklift turn at the same time. It is a very sensitive part of the steering system and damage would require an immediate replacement.
