Function Of 326586 Piston Ring Set

The 326586 piston ring releases gases from the combustion chamber at the top of the piston. The piston ring prevents oil from entering the combustion chamber and lubricates the engine as it moves up and down. It prevents hot gases from escaping between the piston and cylinder wall. One of the primary purposes of the piston ring is to keep the combustion gases from leaking into the crankcase. So, heat flows from the hot piston ring into the cylinder, and from this point, it is transferred to the engine coolant.

This operation is essential to keeping the temperature stability between the piston and the piston rings. Thereby maintaining the stability of the sealing. This piston ring set has a ring that moderates the amount of oil this system requires for lubrication.
