This is an aftermarket replacement of Wheel Cylinder 1358218 for Hyster forklifts. The primary function is to squeeze the braking fluid and push the brake shoes against the brakes. The 1358218 wheel cylinder is part of the forklift drum brake assembly. The pressurized braking fluid, forced through the 139051 brake pedal by the push rod from the 289827 master cylinder, pushes the pistons within the wheel cylinder. By pressing the brake shoes against the wheels, the pistons, in turn, stop the forklift.
